I was contacted earlier this year by Hillary, the General Manager at the Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks, MT. She asked if I would be willing to do some portraits of her for an article she was to be featured in The Montana Chamber of Commerce Newsletter. I said, "Of course!" It was a very chilly day to shoot outside, but this little beauty is a tough cookie! Here's just a couple from our shoot.
Shortly after my shoot with Hillary, Debi and I got together and did what I call a Mini-Business Session. It was 10 minutes and just what she needed, nothing more. She was looking to have some portraits to add to emails and for business cards to put a "face to the name". I'm very happy the she is so satisfied and I hope to add this session to my arsenal to offer to others in the future. After all, having a great portrait for your business profile can speak volumes to a potential client.

It's Valentine's Day!
Today use to mark a day when I shunned the flowers and the chocolates and insisted that I didn't like... in fact I stated at times that I hated Valentine's Day. I suppose that was because I felt pressured to be this sensual romantic woman for the man in my life or rather didn't have a man at all! That is not the case anymore! I am now married to a wonderful person, father, friend, supporter, and most of all, husband! Over the years I have given cards and sent flowers and made special treats for him or just had to find a gift, but every year I wanted to give something special from me of me.... See where I'm going with this?
So this year I finally got up the guts and swallowed those horrible self confidence issues and did something for myself! And made a special book for my honey too.... ;)
I spent a fabulous day with an aspiring photographer friend that wanted to do some boudoir for her husband for Valentine's Day. I asked if while I was shooting her if she would also like to learn to shoot by doing some shooting of me. Of course she insisted that we do it and I was so excited.
I was most excited because I wanted to feel beautiful and sexy again since after having our daughter, I was a mom.... not a woman. Well, I'm finally feeling like I can share some of my boudoir shots since my hubby's special book should be here this afternoon and I've realized that no one is perfect.... So here's some of me from Kelsey Rose's point of view behind the camera. Keep in mind that these are boudoir......

A little boudoir session to start a life together...
I posted a comment on my Facebook business page saying that I was "dying to do a boudoir session" and said that I would do the session for free for the first to comment. I was really happy that Kassidi was the first because not only is she gorgeous, but I knew she had a wedding coming up. It was also a huge bonus that she is such a nice, fun person!
Kass and I got together one morning and spent a very fun session
capturing her in the shirt her soon-to-be husband would wear for the
wedding as well as some really cute outfits that she had brought along! I
fell in love with the hat and those are some of my favorite images from
this awesome session! Enjoy!

My favorite picture of 2012
2012 was a terrific year for my business! I gained some clients that have turned into friendships as well as spent time with clients that I already love! Thank you to those that made it such a great year! I look forward to the new adventures and opportunities that 2013 will bring!
As for my resolutions for 2013, I don't normally do them, but I hope to keep up on my blogging!! Can't improve if you don't try, right?
I would like to share with you just one of the many favorites of my work this year. I had so many favorites that it was difficult to choose. This image came out on top because of the fun I had taking the photo as well as the artistic appeal it has for me.
I am submitting this image at www.rocktheshotforum.com to be entered in their giveaway this month.
I hope to share some more of my favorites from 2012 as the month progresses as well as post new sessions!! Thanks for checking in and I hope you will be back soon!
